PlayStation Showcase Highlights

At the PlayStation Showcase 2021 livestream event, we did not see many of the games from our wishlist make an appearance. However, that does not mean it wasn't an exciting show! With the games shown off at the event, the future certainly looks bright for the PlayStation 5.

That's a wrap for the PlayStation Showcase livestream event and it was a hit! Although we didn't see many of the games that we wanted to see from our wishlist for the event, it was still an exciting event! The future of the PlayStation 5 looks bright. This event featured some heavy hitters from in-house PlayStation Studios and some major partnerships with Marvel Entertainment. Below are a few of our favorite highlights from the event.

Alan Wake finds a new home

It looks like one of our wishlist items made the cut! Alan Wake Remastered looks better than ever on the PlayStation 5. After Alan Wake's appearance in Control, it has been rumored that a sequel may be in the works. What better way to get ready for a potential sequel than to take on this remastered classic horror game? Check out the trailer below!

Marvel, Marvel, Marvel

Marvel was certainly the star of the show during the earlier showcase. We get to see a lot of gameplay and a release date for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy from Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal, coming October 26th. Not just that news, Insomniac Games presented two annoucements, one for the highly anticipated Marvel's Spider-Man 2, coming in 2023, and a surprise that the same studio is working on another title, Marvel's Wolverine! Tchia is making waves

I did not see this game coming. I had not heard anything about up until this point. However, I am sold. This game looks adorable and also gives me some serious The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker vibes. I've been waiting for a bright beautiful world to explore since the release of the PlayStation 5 and it looks like Awaceb will deliver. I absolutely plan to partake in this adventure once it releases next year! Check out the trailer below!

Radiohead is coming

Kid A Mnesia Exhibition was absolutely unexpected. I still have no idea what this is about but I do love Radiohead and these albums! Check out the trailer below!

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands looks like a blast

I really enjoy the Borderlands series. However, after recently completing Borderlands 3 on the PlayStation 5, I kind of felt like something was missing. Nothing felt really... new? Cue Tiny Tina's Wonderlands! The series can absolutely benefit from mashing the Borderlands world into a fantasy setting. From the gameplay shown off at the event, it just looks fun! Check out the trailer below!
